It is almost time for the end of the year concert!  Below is a quiz we’ll use in group class this week to talk a bit about concert etiquette.

  1. It is a good idea for performers to arrive to the concert
    • 15 minutes before the concert
    • just as the performance is starting
    • just before the performer’s number starts.
  2. If a concert attendee has to arrive late, it is best to enter the performance space
    • Whenever they arrive
    • During the performance
    • Between movements or music selections
  3. Applause should be given

  5. What is the policy on talking during a concert
    • It is ok to talk to whomever is sitting next to you
    • Whispering is better than talking, you are allowed to whisper to the person sitting next to you.
    • Do not talk or whisper during the performance unless there is an emergency
  6. If you have to cough or sneeze while the music is performed, what should you do?
    • Try to muffle the sound with your arm
    • Leave the room immediately
    • Sneeze and then apologize to the people around you
