The string quartet is the ideal ensemble for weddings as there vast and wonderful repertoire has been written or arranged for the group of instruments and the sound, harmonies and textures emitting from this group of instruments are satisfying. Below is a list of pieces we’ve played for a wedding ceremonies Prelude (15-20 minutes, 3-5 pieces): Prelude music occurs as guests are being seated and waiting for the ceremony to begin. Usually, the prelude lasts for about 15 minutes however, the duo prepares to an hour of music in case there are unexpected delays
The Addison offers solo and ensemble music for wedding ceremonies and special occasions. The Addison is based in Vermont and is willing to travel to the Adirondacks and within New England. The ensemble can be comprised of a classically trained string quartet ready to play Beethoven String Quartets to a jazz trio ready to play
Violinist Emily Sunderman and cellist Brian Donat will perform unaccompanied Bach sonatas, classical and not so classical duets by Beethoven, Mozart and Gliere.
