Many students structure practice through use of weekly practice charts. Parents or the teacher indicate specific focus points on the chart at the weekly lesson, and the student checks off the number of days they practice. Attached is a pdf of the chart I use in my studio.

Super helpful! Thank you so much. We have been “designing” our own practices for a couple of weeks. My daughter self-selected to play through a new piece. I said how about just the first part and she said how about the whole thing? It was a surprise and lovely!
